The Farm is one of our favourite places to visit with kids in Northern NSW. There are so many things to do to keep the little and big kids entertained for hours. It’s a one stop shop where you can spend a quick halfa grabbing a coffee or spend a majority of the day enjoying EVERYTHING The Farm has to offer.
The Farm is a working farm located in Ewingsdale made up of a collection of micro-businesses who all are working towards supporting the environment and contributing to a healthier lifestyle.
Food! Grab a coffee/bakery treat from The Bread Social (the jam doughnuts are MY FAVE) and then head outside to watch the kids play on the timber playground or run around the huge outdoor grassed space. If you’re wanting something more substantial ask for a picnic table (at the back with more room) in the Three Blue Ducks Restaurant and enjoy breakfast/lunch/dinner (amazing menu for adults however my kids generally only eat the roast potatoes).
Animals! This place is an animal loving kids heaven. Pigs, cows, chickens, even bees! You can also take a daily tour of The Farm in a horse drawn cart. Take your time wandering down to the Macadamia Orchard past all of the animals.
There is heaps of on site parking – however can quickly fill in the summer months. Bring a hat and picnic rug as there isn’t a huge amount of shade.
The Farm Byron Bay Passes The Kid Friendly Test Because….
The SPACE! Especially the huge grassed area where the kids can roam and be kept entertained watching the pigs roll around in the mud (oh and the doughnuts of course!)
